ABOUT HONDURAS
Honduras is a Central American country that lies almost due
south
of New Orleans, La. It lies south of Guatemala and El Salvador. It's north
coast is on the Caribbean Ocean. Most of the country is mountainous but it
has many valleys that grow bananas, pineapples and African Palm trees.
The country is blessed with an abundance of white sand beaches. One will
find the people a
kind and gentle lot, who are very gifted with the talents of hand. Over the
years, many of the more affluent have sent their children to the US to be
educated which helps them
understand the thinking of a "Gringo".
The bay islands are a very important tourist attraction for scuba diving
and
the mainland is an attraction for its beaches. The airlines of Delta,
flying
out of Atlanta Ga., Continental, flying out
of Houston, Tx., and American flying out of Miami, all offer daily flights
to San Pedro
Sula, Honduras which last only about 2 and one half hours.
